Main Street Mommas

Specific Need

The Main Street Mommas plan to continue with additions and improvements to our city park. Our main goal has always been to build a safe and friendly community through sponsored events and revitalization projects. Since the start of our organization in 2015 we have raised enough funds to update our park by installing a large piece of park equipment for children ages 5 to 12 as well as three freestanding pieces of equipment. We are happy to announce that we are adding three additional pieces to our park this fall; a climbing wall, a variety of swings, and a balance beam! Our group is busy planning additional features to add to our city park in the near future.

Profile

The Main Street Mommas is a group of women who have come together to work on planning events and projects to help better the Madison community. Our main goal is to build a safe and friendly community through sponsored events and revitalization projects.  Some of the events we have organized include: Spring Break Staycation, Safe Summer Kick Off, Hometown Homecoming, Fall Fest, Breakfast with Santa, and Junior High Dances. We also help meet the needs of our communities youth by supporting the projects and events of other organizations, such as, snacks during AfterZone trips, Stuco's school wide t-shirts, free swim days at the pool, and partnership activities with the library, Lion's Club, and the City of Madison. We also contribute to a scholarship for a local high school graduate who plans to return to the community with entrepreneurship in mind.  We are extremely excited about the prospect of building up the Madison community and sharing our love of our hometown with our children and all of you!
